Again, not insisting that you agree with me, but
h ow is wanting to be part of EU/NATO has anything to do with what happened in Osetia? 1.Like you said, Putin provoked Saakshvilli BECAUSE Putin didn't wantGeorgia to join Nato for multiple reasons (wanted Ю. Осетиа to be partof Russia, Georgia wanted to built a pipeline that would let oil fromother regions to go around Russian and Iranian oil)..Nato would giveGeorgia the necessary protection from Russia... |
howis wanting to be part of EU/NATO has anything to do with whathappenedin Osetia? he wanted best for his people so he sent themagainst theenemy army multi times bigger and beter equipped than his.he wanted hiscountry to progress thats why he did everything possiblefor it to bebombed.
2. The enemy was on THEIR land - Russia was in SOsetia illegally...all they did was protecting their land, and askingthe world community to stop the evil enemy, that was refusing to stopuntil they achieved their objectives... |
"Вот эта всямелкокалиберная шваль типа Эпштейна-Швондера,живущая вАмерике 20 лет иполивающая эту страну грязью,сегодня поют осаннуполицейскомутоталитарному режиму."
I don't want to change the flow of the focused discussion, but I don't recall to be insulted that for quite a while... I don't know who that Marat is, all I know that he was on drugs when he wrote that bull shit... По теме... I completely agree with Gleb. That was my point of view from the very beginning. The conflict was started by Georgia. Obviously it didn't start на пустом месте. At the same time, why would you expect that Russia would give up control over oil? I am not saying it is right. All I am saying that not a single big country would voluntarily give up control over natural resources... |
LOLOLOL funny...
Osetia is just as Georgian land as Chechnya russian....even less so...and even if your intent is right, dont you think it should be helpful to calculate the outcome first? no, why to think if you can act on emotions. that usually trumps all the thinking.... if u know that u r being provoked and still do it - doesnt say much about you. specially when u r a leader of the country. so, go ahead and find me a big quote on why we were right when tore serbs a new one. how legal was separation of Kosovo ... i'll be waiting.... "all they did was protecting their land, and askingthe world community to stop the evil enemy" . wouldnt it be nice to askthe world first instead of sending his boys to die... |
Obviously it didn't start на пустом месте
proofs?? Atthe same time, why would you expect that Russia would give up controlover oil? I am not saying it is right. All I am saying that not asingle big country would voluntarily give up control over naturalresources... Gret logic!! Let's go to Mexico or even Canada..since we buy oil from them anyway...or how about Saudis??... only evil uncivilized countries would do such things... |
LOLOLOL funny...
рада что насмешила...:-) да, Oсетия это Грузия, и все страны это признают, кроме Никарагуа и Хезболлы...do you want to join them? :-) |
its like when big boys are baiting a small one to fight them.... if he knows he will lose but still stands up for himself - he is a hero. but if he goes and sends his friends to fight his loosing fight for himit is different... as a leader of the country he should have came up with some kind of a way where his country doesnt suffer casualties to its people and its infrastructure. specially if everyone includinghim knew that the fight is unwinable....
what did he think to achieve? Putin/Russia on its knees asking for forgivness? |
Proofs of what? I am arguing with the fact that Georgia was provoked.
Canada and Mexico are completely different. I would not compare political situations and the relationships between Canada, Mexico, and US with Russia/Georgia relationships. You want to dig deeper, you need to go back to Stalin and find how all these nationals battles got started. The oil going from Azer. to Europe bypassing Russia really close to the border.... Again... Деление сфер влияния в нестабильной ситуации. |
as a leader of the country he should have came up with some kind of away where his country doesnt suffer casualties to its people and itsinfrastructure. specially if everyone includinghim knew that the fightis unwinable....
Some countries did follow the same reasoning during WWII - Chechoslovakia (didn''t resist at all)...France to some extent too...Fins on other hand wouldn't even think of Stalin taking over the country....they were a small nation too... |
and Algeria used to be France for a while....
i keep going back to something you are avoiding. Kosovo was part of Serbia and every country of the world accepted it. and if we stood by Serbia in its quest - nobody would have recoganised Kosovo. Osetia was added as a land to Georgia. Kosovo, on another hand, was always a serbian land where serbian liders allowed albanians to live.... osetians, right or wrong, want their land to be separated from another country. kosovars wanted someone elses land to become theirs. please justify that for me...why we allowed that to happen yet take the opposite stand with S.Osetia..? |
