If you are a tradie you're laughing, you will get most of it back ( tools, overtime meals, depreciation etc). Add supporting dependants, rebates/offsets, medical rebates, rental losses etc. Thats the beauty of the system - if you did incur work related expenses througout the year ( and most of us do), you will get most of the income tax back. If you are an employer and pay PAYG/GST thats a different story :)
