Единственное что меня пугает когда я слышу government run health care это ассоциация с совковой медициной. Ведь мы пока все помним какая она там была. Или уже нет?

А мож не будет. Ведь все новые презы обещают мед реформы и ничего не делают. Мож и этот остынет?

that&39;m I'm talking about when I say it takes a little understanding of how this system works now and what they are proposing. Right now, with private insurance, is you have terminal cancer, you will get 2-8 weeks hospice care paid. Medicare - depending on state where you live in, pays about 2 month ( not much better). If one is suffering from terminal cancer and will buy into "public option" - they will provide longer hospice care.
Of course, if one is looking at this and never dealt with those situations with existing systems, it looks like they are just trying to get rid of you fast and cheap. In fact, existing systems are worse or nonexistent for many.

I do not care in what way you put.
I do not want a government official entity to devise any strategy for my future. It is my right only!
It will be applicable to everybody under this law.
They will come up with a rationing system to suit them.

What is proposed is another attempt for the government to take over the lives of the population in this country. It will lead to a socialism without a social revolution. When the people will wake up (if ever) it will be too late. It will be a full dependence on the Big Brother.
The government is not a solution. There should be alternatives with opportunities and incentives, instead of gaining control.
How can we trust them? They voted for several bills this year without even reading them!

Разговаривала сейчас со своей подружкой с Канады мы вместе в Израиле жили, она говорит, что медицина в Канаде жуткая, запись к хорошим врачам уже идет на середину 2010 года (уже говорит сдохнуть за это время можно), вместе сошлись на том как же в Израиле в смысле медицины все поставленно хорошо.

Так пускай они и в Израиле и вКанаде взятки дают, что бы без очереди к врачу попасть. Так же было для крутых в совке.
Столько было счастливых людей.;-)

Гера, а вы считаете, что должно остаться как оно есть? Столько миллионов американцев вообще не имеют никакой страховки....Многие сегодня из Америки ездят в Канаду - и зубы лечить, и лекарства покупать.... и довольны.... Я хотела бы услышать какое-то приемлимое решение, сегодня у меня хорошая работа и страховка, а завтра....

It's funny!! This is the same people who want to save money (on healthcare) and say it costs too much...
1) they complain about us spending too much on the last six months of life...
2) they want to spend more on the last six months of life...
But what they really want is THE GOVERNMENT to spend more using productive people's money...and hurt the economy....
