wow! good one. kida at play...

my point is that not everyone who served deserves admiration. not everyone who served is a law-obeying citizen. not everyone who served votes republican. by your quote you supported my point. even thought you were trying not to

all i am saying is nobody is always right and nobody is always wrong...
you dont have to approve one's action to understand it.
back to the topic:i might not approve what Russia didn in Georgia. but i understand. we support Russia in Chechnya, because arab world supports Chechens. we raped Serbia because of some stupid sense of democracy yet we all bent out of shape for Sukeshvili. Chehcens deserve independence more that Osetiya and Kosovo. yet....
albanians in Kosovo took serbian land. South Osetia was never Georgia till freaking communists came....

that said - i feel bad for Georgia and georginas. for my friends there. for my friends here who have families there. Sukashvili sold his people out. he knew he had no chance. and not only that - he embarassed us. he knew that russian tanks are on the border. he knew that all Putin wants is a slight provocation...

Let's just agree to disagree (otherwise, you are gonna be like us by insisting on that we must all agree)...
Saakashvilli did NOT sell out his people, he wanted the best for his people - wanted the country to progress, to be part of EU, NATO, be American ally, sent troops to Iraq. The only thing he didn't want to do to play by Putin's rules, and I respect him for it...

"he wanted the best for his people - wanted the country to progress"
.
once again all this broad general statement as an opposition for specific argument.. how is wanting to be part of EU/NATO has anything to do with what happened in Osetia? he wanted best for his people so he sent them against the enemy army multi times bigger and beter equipped than his. he wanted his country to progress thats why he did everything possible for it to be bombed. i am not discussing his politic as whole. i am talking about specific case. would be nice to hear a specific answer/statement as well. not the generic blah blah blah....

thats the problem with arguments like that.
if someone is your ally - he can do no wrong. if someone holds an opposing view - he can do/say no right...
i alwaysliked Sakashvily. progressive dude. but the moment he sent his undersized army into Putin's open hands - he commited political suicide. in my opinion...
