Svetlana, I think it does make difference.. Political views of republicans include energy issue and they approach that problem with the "lay back" attitude. In the end they all agree that we need to do "something" but they don't want to do it now.. they think technology will appear on it's own later when we have no more oil left.. but nothing you lay in front of them now will make any sense to them.. Oleg doesn't want to admit it but he knows nothing about electrical cars from our past (not even talking about the future).. yet, he wants to argue why electric cars were killed when he has no clue on When electric cars were killed in fact. Once again very much like an ordinary republican - willing to listen ONLY what republican party told him and nothing else. If he would of being open to more information all the way around - he wouldn't argue over something obvious like this.

But Roman will show up tonight or tomorrow and will add his "opinions" and Pavel will side with them... and all 3 of them will feel better and think they are in "majority".. well, maybe on this forum.. maybe that is why they are in particular keep coming back here... :-D

К сожалению, мы живем в мире ограниченных ресурсов и это означает, что любую сумму денег можно потратить только один раз и только по одной статье. Пиккенс предлагает конкретный план, не research, а потратить деньги на конкретные wind power plants, расположенные в середине страны, которые якобы покроют 22% потребления электроэнергии в стране. Но я читаю за и против этого плана и пока вижу вот что: Wind power is inefficient, unreliable, expensive, and a burden to the electricity grid. Его идея не просто разработать значительный альтернативный источник энергии, а прекратить поставки нефти и якобы получить от этого прибыль.

Так к чему Вы призываете,Юля?К разработке альт. энерго-ресурсов или к поддержке конкретного плана Пикенса?

that is the same thing. Wind power and natural gas are great start and big part of overall sollution. Topic is your answer.
