Вот объясните мне, братцы кролики. Зачем им все это надо? Люди всегда питавшиеся от государственной сиськи, ползшие вверх, как лианы душащие здоровое дерево, от одной общественной работы к другой. Никогда не бросившие proverbial hat in the ring, никогда не рискнувшие ничем в жизни кроме расположения начальства. Решающие как помочь человечеству в целом, но никогда не помогшие одному человеку создав для него работу. (And I don't mean pressuring employers into hiring minorities and stuff...)
Сейчас они пропустили закон предназначенный для людей которые не дошли до медикейдского офиса или решили рисковать своим будущим, не покупая страховку, предпочитая ходить по ресторанам или покупать телевизор на полстены.
Зачем они это сделали? Какая цель?
Вопрос к правым, консерваторам, расистам и эксплуататорам. Всем не согласных с моей точкой зрения: просьба спорить со мной в других темах.

Oleg,I really don't know who you are referring to as "they".
And will not argue about anything. But will just give here one case example of what happens, and I see those every day. I saw a kid today , 10 month old, who was seen in my office last time when he was 2 weeks old. They either lost insurance, or didn't sign up, or something... So, she didn't take him to any physicals, he is totally not immunized; but she went to the ED's around town many times and now has $2950 in collections. I ended up seeing him, because he was sick -and it's a law - we can't turn him away, and most likely will never see my money for this visit, fine... We gave him shots from the free fund. But if this kid had insurance his care will cost all of us not close to 3K, but about $500 for all those appointments. This is a very, very common math..... It is cheaper just to give people the basics.....we all pay for it anyways, just this way will pay less.

Julia, I will answer you challenge from another topic. I will list the measures that would constitute a health reform as I see it. One of the things that i was planning to list there: "mandatory medicaid to all children whose parents don't have an insurance policy" upon being discharged from maternity ward. Adults are a different story.
By "they" I was talking about people who just opened a floodgate of legal and illegal immigration, threw 30 million unwilling patients into a system stretched too wide, just to be as civilized as Finland. "Idealists at any cost" .

I was gonna ask the same question, but kinda got tired of explaining to people that no government program would make people responsible..(sr) responsible people even if lacking resources would try to find them..

Без паники. Барак Обама - мелкая шпана из чикагских подворотен по сравнению с Рузвельтом. Однако и Рузвельта Америка пережила. А он был социалист почище Обамы.

Америка была другой страной при Рузвельте. Без долгов, без интернациональных обязательств, независимой от других и производящая всё необходимое у себя дома.
Ведро воды в пустой шлюпке не так опасно как стакан воды в уже переполненой шлюпке.

Да, Америка сейчас другая - намного богаче и сильнее, чем в 30-ые годы. А насчет долгов - Вторую Мировую Америка закончила с госдолгом превышающим 100% от ВНП. Пока до этого далеко.

Однако и Рузвельта Америка пережила.
Миша, наверное, и этого переживет. Может еще сильнее станет. А может и не переживет. Я оптимист, думаю что американцы, как всегда, почертыхаются и взвалят себе на плечи еще один груз и сильнее станут. Платит же налогоплательщик за малолетних блядей в проджектах, нарожавших по 10 детей, да и еще виноватым себя чувствует по этому поводу.
