- I agree with this, but knowing how awful our mental health care system is ( and I'm sure it's not any better in Tennessee) - her frustration is understandable. We see all kinds of awful cases all the time, and no help for those families.....
Just recently one family managed ( after about 4 years of trying, multiple hospital psych admissions, dozens of ER visits and "mental health arrests", trials of many meds...) place their severely disturbed daughter into a special group home. She killed family cat, put another cat into a dryer ( that was stopped), stabbed her little brother with the fork many times, once - tried to throw an iron into his head....
So that Russian kid probably needed urgent psych help, and his adoptive mother was not equipped to deal with this. If Russian authorities did not lie, much better match would be found for the kid.
